SOCIAL ECONOMY AND FRATERNITY: A NEW PARADIGM?
Organizzato da UCID Unione Cristiana Imprenditori Dirigenti
Greeting from Lucia Albano, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Economy and Finance; Alfonso Amarante, Rector, Pontifical Lateran University; Nino Apreda, President of UCID Campania; Benedetto Delle Site, President of Movimento Giovani UCID; Aldo Fumagalli, President of UCID Lombardy; Sigrid Marz, President of UNIAPAC; Fabio Storchi, presidente of UCID Reggio Emilia; Stefano Zamagni, Professor of Political Economy, Università di Bologna. Moderated by Claudia Conte, journalist, TV host, and commentator
Following the 2024 Meeting, which promoted the ideas contained in UCID’s publication “Civil Economy” and in line with the direction outlined in that discussion, UCID now questions how to move beyond ESG logics. This need has already been clearly identified, since the evaluation of the results achieved by companies in environmental, social, and governance areas is, in itself, detached from the motivations and attitudes with which business leaders engage in these areas. Yet it is precisely these motivations and attitudes that ensure such commitment is maintained over time, forming an additional layer of corporate culture that can make the alignment between ESG elements, business value, and stakeholder satisfaction sustainable and enduring.
