Albano Lucia

Lucia Albano is the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in the Meloni Government. 

 She was born on February 11, 1965, in San Benedetto del Tronto.  

 After completing her classical studies, she graduated in Economics and Commerce from the Politecnico University of Marche in 1988. She then qualified as a chartered accountant, a profession she has been practicing since 1990, and as a teacher of Law and Economics. She is also knowledgeable in computer technologies and has been teaching computer science in secondary schools in the province of Ascoli Piceno since 1993. Additionally, she has provided consulting and evaluation services to public and private entities in the area. 

 She is married to Salvatore Nico, former president of the Multiservice Company of San Benedetto del Tronto, and they have two children. 

 She began her political career in the 2018 general elections as a candidate for the Chamber of Deputies in the Fratelli d’Italia party list for the Marche – 01 multi-member constituency. She was the first non-elected candidate. On October 22, 2020, she replaced Francesco Acquaroli, who resigned due to incompatibility as he was elected President of the Marche Region. 

 In the 2022 general elections, she was re-elected as the top candidate in the Marche – 01 multi-member constituency for the Chamber of Deputies. Since October 31, she has been serving as the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in the Meloni Government, with responsibilities in the areas of hydrogeological disasters, reconstruction, and development of areas affected by earthquakes.
