A civilization must be built day by day by free people, seeking what is true, what is just, and what is beautiful. People who are able to overcome prejudices and ideologies through authentic dialogue.

The Meeting was born from a friendship that seeks to create a place open to the sharing of knowledge and experiences in a spirit of reciprocity. It is sustained by the hope that new friendships may arise—friendships that endure over time, from the bond between individuals to the friendship among peoples.

In this historical moment, when war and violence are widespread, the Meeting promotes dialogue and encounter as the only possible path to recognize that the other is a good.

The Meeting builds culture so that everyone may discover and rediscover a passion for their own life, and realize that this passion calls each of us to contribute to building the “civilization of love” to which Saint John Paul II invited us.
