Storchi Fabio

Fabio Storchi (born on December 17, 1948, in Campagnola Emilia, in the province of Reggio Emilia) is a prominent Italian entrepreneur and association leader in the mechanical and mechatronic sectors. After obtaining a technical diploma, he began his entrepreneurial career in 1970 as a founding partner of Comer Industries SpA, a company that under his leadership became a benchmark in the design of advanced mechanical and mechatronic systems. For more than four decades, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, contributing to the company’s international growth.
Today he is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vimi Fasteners SpA, a company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange and specializing in mechanical fastening components for sectors such as automotive, industrial, and aerospace, and he also leads Finregg SpA, the family holding company with industrial, real estate, and financial investments.
Storchi has also played an important role in the Italian employers’ association system: he served as National President of Federmeccanica (2013–2017), where he contributed to the signing of major collective labor agreements, and held top positions within Confindustria, including the presidency of Unindustria Reggio Emilia and membership in the association’s General Council.
He is among the founders of the Mechatronics Club (2003), an initiative that promotes technological development and innovation in the advanced mechanical sector, and he has collaborated with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia to promote mechatronic engineering.
For his entrepreneurial and association activities, he has received numerous honors, including an Honorary Degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the title of Knight of Labor awarded by the President of the Republic.
In addition to his economic activities, Storchi is involved in social and cultural regeneration projects in his local area, such as the promotion of the Officina Belle Arti at Villa Fassati, dedicated to education, art, and community inclusion.
