In today’s context, the term “cohesion” takes on a specific meaning. In a time marked by disruptive forces that shape global and European dynamics, cohesion challenges the vitality of communities and the freedom and equality of citizens. The development of peoples is not an abstract project, but the result of dialogue between civil society and parliamentary representation. A key example is the Cohesion Policy, created to reduce disparities between EU regions. The future of cohesion lies in fostering a virtuous dialogue between levels of government and free associations, promoting genuine social and economic development. Only dialogue can overcome the perceived conflict between economic growth and social solidarity, by encouraging innovation in existing models and practices.
