Who we are
AN EXPLOSION OF LIFE. SAINT FRANCIS
Maria Pia Alberzoni, former Professor of Medieval History, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano; Francesco Piloni, Minister of the Province of the Friars Minor of Umbria; Davide Rondoni, poet and President of the National Committee for the 800th Anniversary of the Death of Saint Francis of Assisi; Marco Villani, Deputy Secretary‑General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers”. Moderated by Annalisa Teggi, writer and translator
Francis is a saint who sings, walks, and meets others. And with saints, the use of the present tense is not rhetorical, for their relationship with the world remains a living, open story. For 800 years, Saint Francis has accompanied humanity with the bold proposal to remember that the most solid bricks for building our homes are the souls of people. Who is this joyful, poor man whose voice sang such a fraternal relationship with God that he called every creature brother or sister?
