The earthquake that struck Southeast Asia on March 28 of this year brought renewed attention to the fragile situation in Myanmar, where a population already exhausted by years of civil conflict faced yet another catastrophe. Italy, the European Union, and civil society organizations promptly mobilized to support the Burmese people. This event will recount what has taken place in recent months and seek to ensure that the spotlight on this country remains lit.
