SOUTH SUDAN: BETWEEN CHRONIC CONFLICTS AND THE DESIRE FOR LIFE

South Sudan is facing a severe humanitarian crisis: years of civil war, political instability, interethnic conflicts, and the effects of climate change continue to undermine the foundations of lasting peace. AVSI’s projects focus on development and agriculture to provide the population with a source of livelihood, and especially on education.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Episcopal Conference (CEI), important educational projects have been implemented in a country where 65% of children do not attend school.
