Who we are
Petrucco Piero

Born in Udine on September 8, 1962, married and father of four children. After completing classical high school, he graduated cum laude in Civil Engineering from the University of Udine in 1988. In the same year, he began his career at I.CO.P. S.p.A., now a Benefit Company, a family construction business founded in 1920. After holding operational roles in various company functions and serving as Technical Director from 1990, he took on the responsibilities of CEO in 2002, leading the company alongside his brother Vittorio through a significant period of growth and international expansion. Over the years, the company has specialized in underground engineering technologies and is today one of the leading European operators in microtunneling and special foundations.
His entrepreneurial activity has led him to hold various association positions. He currently serves as President of the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC), member of the FIEC Task Force for the reconstruction of Ukraine, Vice President of the National Association of Building Contractors with a mandate for the Research Center and the PNRR, member of the Chamber Council of the Pordenone – Udine Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member of the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine. From 2021 to 2024, he was Deputy Vice President (later Vice President) of Confindustria Udine with a mandate for Culture. He has extensive volunteer experience in associations; among the most significant are his work as founder and administrator of Vicini di Casa ONLUS, which addresses housing difficulties, and his work with Sudin Onlus, of which he is currently President, an association that has established and supported for over 15 years a school of arts and crafts in South Sudan.
