PROFIT–NON-PROFIT PARTNERSHIP: NEW FRONTIERS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Organized by CdO Opere Sociali and Fondazione Progetto ARCA

Dario Boggio Marzet, President of Banco Alimentare Lombardia; Alessandra Goretti, Corporate Affairs and Communication manager, JTI Italy; Luisa Gamba, Head of Partnership and Public Sector, Amazon Business Italy; Alberto Sinigallia, President of Fondazione Progetto Arca. Moderated by Sergio Luciano, Director of Economy

This panel aims to explore the still largely untapped potential of partnerships between the profit and non-profit sectors as a catalyst for greater effectiveness in social development. In an era of complex challenges—from inequality to the climate crisis—the synergistic collaboration between these seemingly distant worlds can generate truly innovative, high-impact solutions. The discussion will focus on how the skills and resources of the profit sector, when combined with the deep understanding of needs and mobilization capacity of the non-profit sector, can give rise to virtuous models of cooperation. The goal is to outline strategies that not only enhance the effectiveness of interventions but are also intrinsically oriented toward better environmental, social, and governance sustainability—building a fairer, more resilient future for all. At the end of the panel, the four winners of the Social Contest organized by CdO Opere Sociali with the support of JTI Italy will be announced.
