INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT. THE POSSIBLE SYNERGY BETWEEN ITALY AND EUROPE

In collaboration with AVSI

Carlo Fidanza, Member of the European Parliament; Giorgio Gori, Member of the European Parliament; John Makoha, Regional Manager for Uganda, AVSI. Moderated by Stefano Manservisi, Professor at the Paris Institute of Political Studies – Sciences Po, President of the Global Fund for the Prevention of Radicalisation, and former Director-General of the European Commission

Whilst negotiations on the new Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) are in full swing within the European Union, a question arises: how can Italy and the European Union work together to address both chronic and emerging crises, to revitalise the European approach to sustainable and equitable development, and to promote integral human development? This meeting, drawing on diverse perspectives, will help to understand how the interaction between the instruments adopted by Europe and Italy – including the contribution of civil society – can ensure that European external action has the capacity to make an impact and be effective in terms of human development.
