John Makoha

John Makoha is the Country Representative of the AVSI Foundation in Uganda, where he coordinates the organisation’s programmes in the fields of education, vocational training, economic development, health and humanitarian response. With extensive experience in international cooperation, he oversees initiatives aimed at refugees and host communities, promoting projects in collaboration with Ugandan institutions, United Nations agencies and international donors.

He represents AVSI at key forums on development and migration, contributing to the formulation of strategies and partnerships to promote social inclusion and personal autonomy.
