Caring for the land is a fundamental responsibility that links human development and environmental sustainability. In the face of the climate crisis and rising food insecurity, it is essential to promote agricultural models capable of combining productivity, environmental protection and attention to the needs of communities. In this context, international cooperation can foster innovation, training and technology transfer. One example is the AREA Africa Programme, which aims to strengthen agri-food systems in Ghana, the Republic of the Congo and Senegal through a public-private partnership and a focus on local development.
