ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN PERSONAL CARE SERVICES: STORIES OF COLLABORATION BETWEEN HUMANS AND ALGORITHMS
Organized by Compagnia delle Opere
Michela Coccia, Fondazione Serena – Centro Nemo; Ilaria Gallucci and Beatrice Pini, Il Faro Coop Sociale; Lucia Migliorelli, VRAI Lab; Marcello Naldini, Il Faro Social Cooperative. Moderated by Stefano Gheno, President of Cdo Opere Sociali
This event explores real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence in personal care services, focusing in particular on the use of multimedia data — images, sounds, biometric signals — to support human health and well-being. Operational experiences will be presented in which AI supports professionals and caregivers in care, assistance, and inclusion paths, showing how collaboration between algorithms and people can enhance the effectiveness and personalization of interventions. Alongside technological aspects, the event will address ethical, regulatory, and compliance issues: from handling sensitive data to ensuring transparency in decision-making processes, all the way to the principle of responsibility in highly vulnerable contexts. The event is part of the Scuola delle Opere program promoted by Cdo Opere Sociali.
