MAECI AT THE RIMINI MEETING 2025
Pavilion C3

For the seventh consecutive year, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) will take part in the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples with a large pavilion titled “No Crisis Is Distant”. The exhibition area will showcase MAECI’s efforts—alongside those of its partners—in responding to crises and humanitarian emergencies, mobilizing support for local communities and Italian citizens in need of assistance.
The space will guide visitors along a path that clearly, directly, and evocatively illustrates the main phases of humanitarian intervention: the “initial emergency”, with a focus on humanitarian transport; the “emergency” itself and the response to “protracted crises”; and the “post-emergency”, highlighting actions aimed at building peace and development prospects and preventing new crises.
The area will also present several initiatives carried out by Italian Cooperation and international, European, and civil society organizations, including the Red Cross, Intersos, the Italian and European Civil Protection and ECHO, in various crisis and conflict scenarios.
At the heart of the pavilion, a recreation of the MAECI Crisis Unit (UdC) Operations Room will allow visitors to experience a typical day in the Unit, through interactive simulations and firsthand testimonies of the operations carried out.
All visitors who register for the Rimini Fiera entrance via the Meeting App will also be able to access and download the “Viaggiare Sicuri” (Travel Safe) app, making it immediately available to register their trips abroad.
The MAECI Pavilion will also host a space dedicated to the United Nations World Food Programme, a key partner of Italian Cooperation in various crisis settings, especially in the Italian humanitarian initiative Food for Gaza.
Within the international pavilion, visitors will also find an interactive installation on the climate crisis for children, curated by Save the Children Italy, a talk area for debates and events organized by international cooperation partners and a selection of artworks from the Farnesina Collection, as part of the exhibition “Identities Beyond Borders.”
MAECI’s participation in Rimini is once again in collaboration with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), AVSI, CIHEAM Bari and TORCHA as media partner.
