Riccardo Capecchi, President of Fondazione Lottomatica; Gianluca Chiodo, President of Giotto Cooperativa Sociale; Stefano Granata, President of Confcooperative Federsolidarietà; Emilio Minunzio, Councillor CNEL; Simone Rampin, employee of the Cooperativa Giotto; Francesco Paolo Sisto, Deputy Minister of Justice. Moderated by Maria Elena Magrin, delegate of the Rector of the Università di Milano Bicocca for the Prison Campus
This event explores the importance of work in the rehabilitation journey of incarcerated individuals, recognizing it not only as a tool for reparation and social reintegration, but also as a powerful means of personal growth and autonomy development. We will examine the intrinsic value of work in rebuilding identity, skills, and dignity — fundamental elements for real personal transformation. The discussion will highlight how work within the prison system can promote the acquisition of new abilities, the enhancement of existing ones, and a stronger sense of responsibility. Particular focus will be placed on integrating work with educational and training paths to maximize the effectiveness of rehabilitation and ensure full social inclusion upon release.
