Granata Stefano

Born in Milan in 1963, Stefano Granata was elected in June 2018, and confirmed in 2022, as President of Confcooperative Federsolidarietà, the main political and trade representation organization for social cooperatives and social enterprises affiliated with Confcooperative, which brings together 6,250 social cooperatives and 230,000 workers.

Always active as a social entrepreneur, he began his career as a founding partner of the cooperatives Spazio Aperto and Spazio Aperto Servizi, serving as President of the latter from 1999 to 2006. He was President for eight years of the Consortium of social cooperatives Sistema Imprese Sociali (SIS), active in the Milan area.

Since 2010, he has expanded his experience to national governance and network development as Delegated Board Member of the CGM Cooperative Group, present throughout Italy with 65 consortia and about 800 social cooperatives and social enterprises. From 2013 to 2019, he served as President of the group.

He currently also serves as President of Cooperjob Spa (employment agency) and President of Abitare Sociale Metropolitano (a social enterprise operating in the social housing sector in the metropolitan area of Milan). He is also President of AICCON and Vice President of Social Impact Agenda for Italy.
