Who we are
THE PARADOX OF DEPENDENCE
Organized by Cdo Opere Sociali
Bartolomeo Barberis, Head of Casa CEC, Forlì; Maria Teresa Bellucci, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policies; Simone Feder, psychologist and educator, Casa del Giovane; Sergio Ishara, psychiatrist, founder and coordinator of the Community Mental Health Group Program. Moderated by Stefano Gheno, President Cdo Opere Sociali
Being dependent is a structural trait of the human condition — without it, there can be no growth. Why then do we only ever talk about “bad” dependencies? This event seeks to explore the difference between “good” and “bad” dependencies, in order to understand how the former can be used to transform the latter. The discussion will unfold along three axes: an introduction on the scale and dimensions of the issue, real-life testimonies from educational and therapeutic communities, and a concluding reflection on how to make good use of our inherent dependence.
