Who we are
HUNTED BY MYSTERY IN BUZZATI’S “DESERT”
In collaboration with Fondazione Dino Buzzati
Lorenzo Viganò, journalist at Corriere della Sera. Introduced and moderated by Piero Vietti, journalist at Tempi. Readings by Paolo Valerio, director of the Teatro Stabile of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
What interest would reality hold if it were not imbued with expectation? And expectation of whom, if not of the one who can make us happy? Throughout his life, Dino Buzzati never ceased to question the mystery behind all things. He did so by writing articles, short stories, novels, poems, and by painting. With Lorenzo Viganò, curator of Buzzati’s works, and Paolo Valerio, director and actor who has brought to the stage pieces like The Tartar Steppe and Poema a fumetti, we will encounter a restless author who, over fifty years after his death, still has much to say to contemporary men and women.
