Fabio Vitale

Fabio Vitale (Catania, 31 October 1986) is an Italian journalist and television presenter.

He has been editor-in-chief of Sky TG24 since 15 September 2025.

After several years as a reporter for *Il Giornale di Sicilia*, he joined Sky in 2007.

For the all-news channel, he has been a correspondent both in Italy and abroad. Over the years, he has devised and presented original programmes featuring interviews with leading Italian political figures: ‘il Sorpasso’ (2012–2013), ‘Italia 18’ (2018), ‘Tribù’ (2019), “Casa Italia” (2022), and “Materia Grigia” (2024). He has hosted political marathons during major Italian and international elections.

Since 2017, he has been the presenter of “il Confronto”, the TV debate between party leaders – a successful programme and a true hallmark of Sky TG24.

During the COVID-19 health emergency, he presented “Sky a casa”, a unique initiative in the media landscape: a television studio set up in the presenter’s own home, the first edition to be broadcast entirely remotely. In 2020, he co-wrote a book (“Un Medico”, HarperCollins, 2020) with infectious disease specialist Raffaele Bruno, telling the story of the doctor who treated Patient 1. In 2022, the book was translated, published and distributed in Japan by HarperCollins Japan.

He held positions of increasing responsibility within the editorial coordination team, eventually moving to the Central Office and taking charge of it, before being appointed editor-in-chief of the publication.
