Ferraresi Mattia

Mattia Ferraresi is a journalist from Modena. He currently serves as editor-in-chief for the Italian newspaper «Domani». Over the course of his journalistic career, Ferraresi has written for and continues to contribute to numerous prominent publications. He worked for «Il Foglio» for a decade as a U.S. correspondent. His work has regularly appeared in major American newspapers, including «The New York Times», «The Wall Street Journal», «The Boston Globe», and «Foreign Policy». His writing has also been published in «The Washington Post» and other media outlets in both Italy and the United States.
Between 2018 and 2019, Mattia Ferraresi was a fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard. He is the author of several books: «I demoni della mente. Il racconto di un’epoca in cui non si ha fiducia in niente ma si crede a tutto» (Mondadori). The book analyzes conspiracy theories and the current tendency to “trust nothing, but believe everything.” It explores topics such as misinformation, the confusion between science and pseudoscience, and the “five great disillusionments tied to contemporary society and politics.” «Obama. L’irresistibile ascesa di un’illusione» (Rubbettino, 2010), co-written with Martino Cervo. «Politica americana» (Luiss, 2016). «La febbre di Trump» (Marsilio, 2016), described as the first essay on Donald Trump published in Italy. «Il secolo greve» (Marsilio, 2017). «Oltre la paura» (Lindau, 2018), written with Massimo Camisasca. «Solitudine» (Einaudi, 2020), with the full title «Solitudine. Il male oscuro delle società occidentali».
