Bolognini Stefano

Stefano Bolognini is currently Councillor for Metropolitan City Development, Youth, and Communication of the Lombardy Region, appointed by the President of the Regional Council, Attilio Fontana, in the XI Legislature.

He was born in Bergamo on June 7, 1975, and has lived almost all his life in Milan. He graduated from Liceo Scientifico Leonardo da Vinci and earned a degree in Business Administration from Università Luigi Bocconi in Milan. He has been politically active since the early 1990s, holding several important positions over the following three decades.

From 1997 for 15 years, he served as Councilor of Zone 1 in Milan, also acting as President of the Green and Identity Commission, gaining firsthand experience addressing the city’s local issues. In 2004, he joined the Regional Council of Lombardy, and in the following two years, he served as a territorial assistant to Hon. Matteo Salvini at the European Parliament.

From 2009 to 2014, he was Councillor for Security, Provincial Police, Civil Protection, Prevention, and Tourism of the Province of Milan and Head of the Northern League delegation in the Milan Provincial Government.

At the beginning of the XI Legislature of Lombardy, he was appointed Councillor for Social Policies, Housing, and Disability, serving from 2018 to January 2021. In that month, he received new responsibilities, becoming the current Councillor for Metropolitan City Development, Youth, and Communication, also overseeing the development of the “Area Mind” (site of EXPO 2015), metropolitan program agreements in Milan, regional state property, and the enhancement of decommissioned regional areas.

Since July 2019, he has also served as Provincial Coordinator of Milan for the Lega Salvini Premier party.

Outside politics, from September 2006 to September 2009, he was Head of the Cultural Area – Fundraising at the Aeronautics Museum Foundation in Somma Lombardo (VA).
