The Importance of Reading #Aloud: Introduction to the Read-Aloud Marathon and the book “Il giardino segreto” by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The Endless Friendship that Saves. 

This event is primarily aimed at caregivers of children and young people, with parents and teachers expected to attend. What importance does reading aloud have for children and young people, and ultimately for all of us? What should we read aloud? What is a read-aloud marathon? Why did we choose “Il giardino segreto” by British author F.H. Burnett for the marathon? We will delve into everything that this classic (please don’t call it just a children’s book…) has to tell us, starting with the boundless friendship that changes the lives of three children, a father, an ill-tempered old gardener, and… a robin. There will be plenty of room for questions.
