With the collapse of Assad’s regime, Syria emerges from years of conflict facing an uncertain future, with religious freedom taking center stage. In this delicate context, the Apostolic Vicar of Aleppo and the Minister of Foreign Affairs engage in dialogue to envision a future of peace. Much is at stake: security and guarantees for the small Christian community, which aspires to actively contribute—within a rich mosaic of faiths and cultures—to the country’s rebirth. The goal is to chart a path toward coexistence in a Syria desperately seeking its future.
