THE LAST BLUES
The Blues4People and the extraordinary participation of Lou Marini
The Last Blues was born from a great meeting and a great idea: in 2004 the band Blues4People meets the true Blues Brothers “Blue Lou” Marini, world renowned saxophonist who can boast illustrious collaborations with Aretha Franklin, Frank Zappa, James Taylor just to name a few. From the meeting comes a deep esteem and friendship, and at the same time the desire to create something together. The idea is simple and brilliant: what would have happened if the Blues Brothers were Italian?
The answer is in this show.
The Last Blues is a collection of the most beautiful re-harmonized folk songs by Lou Marini, played by members of the Original Blues Brothers Band and sung by the very Italian Blues4People. An explosive mixture of rhythm and blues, swing, rock and roll … combined with the spirit, humor and all-Italian passion.
The band’s motto is always confirmed: “Never send anyone home unhappy”.
