Giacomo Ciambotti, Head of the Research Division, E4Impact; Talew Dheressa Hurisse, CESVI project manager; Stefano Piziali, Director-General of CESVI; Alessandro Vasta, specialist in sustainable agri-food supply chains at the FAO. Moderated by Marco Carrara, journalist at Rai
Drawing on CESVI’s experience in Ethiopia, the talk explores the role of sustainable agroforestry value chains in strengthening food security, climate resilience and economic opportunities for rural communities. The She-F.E.R.A. project, funded by Italian Development Cooperation and focused on moringa in southern Ethiopia, will be presented as an example of an initiative capable of transforming a local crop with high nutritional value into a driver of development, income generation and market access for small-scale producers, women, young people and micro-enterprises.
