The President Bernhard Scholz received by Pope Leo XIV

Rome, Monday 26 January 2026.

This morning, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV received in private audience the President of the Fondazione Meeting per l’amicizia fra i popoli, Bernhard Scholz, who renewed the invitation to take part in the next edition of the Meeting di Rimini.

“I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to present to the Holy Father, in a very cordial atmosphere, the contents of the Meeting and the reasons for our commitment,” Scholz said.

The next edition of the Meeting will take place from 21 to 26 August 2026 and will be entitled with the final verse of Dante’s Divine Comedy, “The love which moves the sun and the other stars”.
