Valesio Paolo

Paolo Valesio, from Bologna, has spent several decades in the United States teaching Italian language and literature in various universities, including Columbia University (New York).
He returned to Italy in 2015 where he built the Sara Valesio Study Center in Bologna. Valesio founded and directs the journal “Italian Poerty Review – IPR,” and is president of the of the jury for the International Award for Poetry “Piero Alinari” in Florence; he collaborates for the daily online publication “IlSussidiario.net,” as well as having a creative and critical blog, and is represented in several anthologies, the most recent being the Almanacco dei poeti e della poesia contemporanea n°3 (2015) of Raffaelli Editore.
Valesio is the author of: numerous essays in journals, half a dozen critical and curated books, two novels, two collections of short stories, two symbolic dramatic texts; in particular, he has published 18 books of poems, the most recent being a bilingual anthology (originally Italian in front of the English text) Il servo rosso/ The Red Servant, edited by Graziella Sidoli, of puntoacapo editrice, 2016.
He continues to write journal novels, that is novels of daily newspapers, that include 25,000 pages of manuscripts, mostly unedited.
