Urso Adolfo

Adolfo Urso is the Minister of Enterprise and of the Made in Italy since 22 October 2022. 

 Born in Padua, he graduated in Sociology at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome. Since 1983 a professional journalist, he has worked in Rome and Naples. 

 Among the founders of the political party Alleanza Nazionale, he was the national coordinator of the promoting committee from 1993 to 1995 and organizer of the Fiuggi congress in 1995. In 2008 he was one of the founders of Popolo della Libertà, then joined Fratelli D’Italia in 2013. 

 Member of Parliament from 1994 to 2013, for a total of 5 legislatures, in this period he was appointed Deputy Minister of Economic Development with responsibility for Foreign Trade in the second Berlusconi Government (2001-2006) and in the fourth Berlusconi Government (2009-2010). 

 In 2018 he was elected to the Senate in Veneto on the Fratelli D’Italia list. Head of the Party’s Business and Productive Activities Department until June 2021 when he was elected President of the Parliamentary Committee for the Security of the Republic (Copasir). 

 

In the elections of 25 September 2022 he was elected senator in the Veneto constituency.
