Seguso Gianluca

Joined in the company at 20 years old, Gianluca Seguso follows for the first four years a path that runs through the whole process of the family business – productive, creative and commercial. He then moved to the United States for ten years, where he became head of sales for North America, thus beginning to deepen the knowledge of the first target market for the industry of glass production from Murano. He becomes the group sales manager and opened the American subsidiary with offices and showrooms in New York.
Returned to Murano, in 2006 and 2007, he is dedicated to the reorganization of the company, with the aim of improving its efficiency and production capacity.
In 2009 it was the turn of a further acquisition, the company of Gino Cenedese, important company from Murano of which he want to safeguard the cultural heritage, artistic and employment; although complex operation especially for the world economic situation of the period, it was possible to bring it to fruition.
Then he performs one of the operations that he is most proud of, the re-acquisition of the historic brand Seguso Vetri d’Arte, acquiring Company and heritage, brought within the family after three decades, and launching the project “Seguso and Seguso”, together with the brother Pierpaolo.
With him, in 2012, he structure permanently a company journey called “Experience”, capitalizing on past experiences, highlighting the specificity of traditional knowledge and stimulating awareness of the values inward, thus creating a team capable of facing even path the more complex hardships and launch a regeneration signal of the district.
Attentive about the growth in the respect for tradition and driven by strong business ethics, Gianluca Seguso has placed at the center of all its activities the values and culture of the island of Murano, the same shared with the family.
In 2014 he leads the company in a transaction to recapitalize with the arrival of the Anglo-American partners for a spread of very specific international business model, defined multi targets narrowcasting, always starting with the distinctive values and our territory from.
Thanks to his visionary leadership he has been able to lead the family business into the future, protecting the past and preserving the history of the island of Murano, helping to spread the culture of beauty and know-how and the Italian ambition and desire to chart a course that can be a stimulus for the district.
