Mario Guidi was born in Codigoro (Ferrara) in October 10th, 1961, he is married and has one daughter.
After high school and a degree in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Bologna, he is dedicated to the family farm (600 hectares mainly cereal and rice-growing address, which are added cultivating orchards and plantations). Passionately committed to the organizational and administrative life of the agricultural sector, he has held many positions within the association, cooperative and consortiums.
In 1998 he was president of the Reclamation Consortium of the 1st district-Polesine of Ferrara. Vice-President of the A.N.G.A. (National Association of Young Farmers of Confagricoltura), in 2001 he was elected President of the Provincial Farmers Union of Ferrara, a position that he held for two terms. In 2007 he joined in the National Executive Committee.
On 31 March 2011 he was elected president of the National Confagricoltura. He was president of the National Association Beet Growers (A.N.B.) and has held important roles in financial and credit institutions.
In 2014 he is coordinator of the Agrinsieme, an acronym that brings together Cia, Confagricoltura and Alliance of agri-food cooperatives.
Since February 2014 he is Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Agriculture.
