Who we are
Carboniero Massimo

Born in 1959, he holds a degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Business Administration and Management at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
He is the managing director and co-owner of OMERA, a company based in Chiuppano (VI) and a leader in the manufacture of machine tools using sheet metal forming technology.
Managing Director of FAIB, a company based in Bassano del Grappa (VI) specialising in the production of hot and cold forming dies for the automotive sector; a member of the Board of Directors of TIMAC, a company based in Schio (VI) manufacturing circular shears, special machine tools and automation systems; as well as a member of the Board of Directors and co-owner of OMERA – MAWE, a German company based in Herborn, which manufactures special trimming and edging machines.
Appointed a member of the Executive Board of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE in 2004, he served as the association’s vice-president from September 2008 to June 2016. Since June 2016, he has been president of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE. He is also president of FONDAZIONE UCIMU, the non-profit organisation of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE which operates as an institute for economic and scientific research, cultural enrichment, and the development, promotion and support of Italian companies manufacturing machine tools and production systems.
From July 2012 to September 2016, he was president of the Mechanical, Metallurgical and Electronic Section of Confindustria Vicenza.
He is a member of the General Council of CONFINDUSTRIA and of the General Council of FEDERMECCANICA. He is part of the Italian delegation to CECIMO, the European Association of Machine Tool Industries.
Since May 2017, he has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Edison Foundation.
He is married and has two children.
