Maria Elena Boschi

Maria Elena Boschi is a Member of the Chamber of Deputies and Chair of the Italia Viva-Il Centro-Renew Europe parliamentary group. Born in Montevarchi in 1981, she holds a degree in Law from the University of Florence and is a solicitor specialising in company law.

Elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2013, she served as Minister for Constitutional Reforms and Relations with Parliament in the Renzi government from 2014 to 2016. From December 2016 to June 2018, she served as Under-Secretary of State to the Prime Minister in the Gentiloni government, with responsibilities including, amongst other things, equal opportunities and the implementation of the government’s programme.

Re-elected as a Member of Parliament in 2018, she joined Italia Viva in 2019, serving as Chair of its parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies. Re-elected in 2022 for the 19th legislature, she is a member of the Constitutional Affairs Committee. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has focused in particular on institutional reforms, justice, equal opportunities and social policies. In 2026, she continues her involvement in the debate on institutional and electoral reforms, justice and the future of Europe.
