Bolzan Mario

Degree in Statistical and Demographic Sciences from the University of Padua. Since 2004 full professor of Social Statistics at the Department of Statistical Sciences, University of Padua. He currently teaches: ‘Statistics for the Evaluation of Services’ at the School of Economics and Political Science; ‘Social Statistics’ at the School of Science and ‘Statistical Methods in Clinical Data Analysis’ in the Health Planning PhD programme at the University of Padua. Attended training courses in Italy and abroad also as a lecturer. Aggregate Lecturer at the Pontifical Salesian University, Venice, where he teaches ‘Experimental Data Analysis’. He collaborates in national research groups, also as local coordinator, and international groups, mainly with teachers and researchers of statistical disciplines. Research activity has been aimed at the application and critical evaluation of statistical methods and techniques in areas of social health and epidemiological interest. He belongs to several national scientific societies including the Italian Statistical Society, the Italian Society of Medical Pedagogy, and international societies: the International Society of Clinical Biostatistics, the International Association of Survey Statisticians and the IASE. He is invited speaker, chairperson and member of scientific committees, including international ones, and has produced and published over 160 papers. He is referee and guest editor or on the editorial board of international journals. He has held positions of coordination and chairmanship of degree courses at the University of Padua. From June 2013 until November 2017 he was with his wife President of the Veneto Forum of Family Associations.
