Ben Moussa Moncef

After his education at l’Ecole Normale Supérieure di Sousse (Tunisia), the National School of Archaeology at the Sapienza University in Rome (Italy), at the University of Paris X (Natarre) and the University Aix-Marseille I – University of Provence (France), Moncef Ben Moussa graduated in Prehistory, Archaeology, History, and Civilization of Antiquity and in the Middle Ages from the University of Aix-Marseille I.
Since 1997, Ben Moussa has taught Archaeology and Ancient History for the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences of Tunisia; meanwhile, he has taught Archaeology for the Faculty fo Letters and Philosophy of Kairouan, as well as at all’Institut des Métiers du Patrimoine in Tunisia.
He is a member of the Scientific Committee for SECAH ( Society for the study of ancient ceramics in Spain) and of the Scientific Committee of Archaeopress for the column “Roman and Late Antique Mediterranean Pottery” (Oxford).
Since 2012, Ben Moussa has worked for l’Institut National du Patrimoine de Tunis (Ministry of Culture) and since November 2013, has served as head curator at the Bardo National Museum in Tunisia.
Since December of 2015, Ben Moussa has been the Director of the Department of National Museums.
