Basso Amerigo
Amerigo Basso, father of Sammy, is a textile machinery repair technician. In 2005, together with his wife Laura and some friends, he founded the Associazione Italiana Progeria Sammy Basso APS, an Italian association dedicated to Progeria, where he currently serves as President.

The Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples Foundation was born from the desire of some friends to meet, get to know, and bring to Rimini all that is beautiful and good in the culture of the time.
The Meeting
In the last week of August, Rimini becomes the capital of international culture and is overrun by 'the Meeting people,' as defined by the media: curious, open-minded, discerning individuals from all over the world who gather for this event, which has been taking place since the early 1980s.
