Stefano Barrese has been the head of Intesa Sanpaolo’s Banca dei Territori Division since January 2016. Graduated in Economics and Commerce at the LUISS University in Rome in 1993, he is registered in the Register of Chartered Accountants and in the Register of Official Auditors in Rome.
He began his professional career in 1995 at Arthur Andersen and later at Erg Petroli.
He joined Banca Intesa in 1998 in the Planning Department and after the merger between Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo Imi he held various roles such as Head of the Capital Management Office of the Planning Department, Capital Management and Control Synergies and Head of the Planning Service of the Central Planning and Control Department.
