Ba Meissa

Meissa Ba is a young man involved in Save the Children’s ‘Civico Zero’ project in Turin. Born on 24 June 2007 in Nguène Sarr (Senegal), he arrived in Turin on his own at the age of 17. He began his integration process and got to know Civico Zero; he learnt Italian, obtained his lower secondary school certificate and attended an IT course at the Cisco Networking Academy.

As he approached adulthood, he turned once again to Civico Zero for support in his job search. He undertook a work placement at Eataly Lingotto and, on his eighteenth birthday, joined the Luoghi Comuni San Salvario social housing project. In early 2026, he began an apprenticeship as a metalworker and, in July, he was offered a permanent contract, achieving his goal of independence and stability.
