YASMEEN CHOIR IN CONCERT

The inaugural concert is entrusted to the Yasmeen Choir, a renowned youth choir from Jerusalem, part of the Magnificat Institute, the music school of the Custody of the Holy Land located in the Christian Quarter of the Old City. Founded with the aim of promoting coexistence through music, the choir — directed by Jamil Freij — brings together young singers from different cultural and religious backgrounds. Its repertoire ranges from European sacred music to traditional Arabic and international songs, reflecting the richness and plurality of the school of which it is part. Regularly invited to international festivals and cultural events, the Yasmeen Choir undertook a tour of the United States in 2018 and performed in Rome in December 2025, collaborating over the years with artists of international standing. For the inaugural concert, an ensemble of seventeen voices accompanied on piano offers a selection of pieces representative of different musical traditions, providing an experience that affirms music as a space of encounter, dialogue, and shared beauty.
