Who we are
Friendship Paves the Way: Discovering New Don Boscos
The testimony of people who, through a new experience of life generated by the encounter with Christ, began to look at the needs of those they met in a completely new way.
From acts of charity to the creation of works: for many, this was the path they followed.
The weekly charitable gesture—and, at the same time, the discovery of a desire for this dimension to become something permanent.
Visitors to this exhibition will be invited to get personally involved: participating in the work of the young people, listening to their stories, and engaging with those who are sharing the journey of this educational experience.
From welcoming initiatives (Casa Edimar and Associazione Cometa) to job placement programs (Aslam, Fondazione Piazza dei Mestieri, and In-Presa), from after-school programs (Porto Franco and CdS in Naples) to work opportunities for young people with disabilities (Cooperativa Solidarietà and Solidarietà Intrapresa), and support for inmates (La Strada):
different organizations, with different histories and fields of action, yet united by the same origin.
A large area within the exhibition will be dedicated to a hands-on workshop where, throughout the entire Meeting week, part of the production line of Solidarietà Intrapresa will be recreated: here, visitors will be able to work side by side with the young people.
The exhibition will feature talks, personal testimonies, and activities led by the young people and the leaders of the various initiatives.
