Who we are
The Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples Foundation was born from the desire of some friends to meet, get to know, and bring to Rimini all that is beautiful and good in the culture of the time.

In the last week of August, Rimini becomes the capital of international culture and is overrun by 'the Meeting people,' as defined by the media: curious, open-minded, discerning individuals from all over the world who gather for this event, which has been taking place since the early 1980s.

What are the work dates and times?
The Meeting will be open to the public from August 21 to 26, but volunteers must go to the Fairgrounds on August 21 for accreditation and to attend their sector meetings, during which schedules and tasks will be assigned. For this reason, we recommend arriving at the Fair by early afternoon on Thursday, August 20.
Email communications will be sent regarding the time of your sector meeting.
Are specific professional skills required?
Anyone can volunteer regardless of their education or profession. However, some skills may be useful in certain areas, so we ask you to report them during registration.
Is a training certificate required to work?
Yes, it is mandatory to hold the Low Risk Worker Training certificate – 8 hours (based on the State-Regions Agreements of 21/12/2011 and 07/07/2016, pursuant to Legislative Decree 09.04.2008 no. 81 and subsequent amendments).
An e-learning course activated by the Meeting will be required in the following cases:
- for those who have never attended a training course
- for those who have only completed the 4-hour general training course
- for those whose certificate has expired (valid for 5 years from the date of issue)
To work as an electrician, the High Risk Worker Training certificate – 16 hours is required.
How can I access the Fairgrounds?
Access is only permitted with a personal QR code obtained by downloading the Meeting app and registering. To ensure proper operation, the app and the operating system must be updated to the latest version.
How is accommodation arranged for volunteers?
Accommodation will be provided to volunteers coming from abroad and to university and high school students who request it during registration. The Meeting will manage the bookings and inform volunteers about their accommodation two days before the start of the event.
How are meals organized for volunteers?
You will be able to use meal vouchers, which can be purchased at the time of registration or accreditation and are valid at all dining locations, from lunch on August 21 to dinner on August 26.
Cosa fare se non si può più partecipare?
If for serious reasons you are no longer able to volunteer, please notify disdetta.volontari@meetingrimini.org as soon as possible.
If the cancellation is communicated by July 19, it is possible to obtain a refund of the fee paid.
The training course fee cannot be refunded, but you will have the opportunity to complete it by September 2026.
