Giuseppe Guerini

Giuseppe Guerini is president of Cooperatives Europe, the organisation representing over 250,000 cooperatives in 35 countries across the continent.

He is Confcooperative’s representative for relations with European institutions and international organisations. He served as president of Confcooperative Bergamo from 2022 to 2024 and as president of Federsolidarietà from 2010 to 2018.

He is a member of the EESC (European Economic and Social Committee), where he serves as vice-president of the Internal Market Section. 

In Bergamo, where he lives, he is Vice-President of the Fondazione Comunità Bergamasca, a philanthropic organisation that provides funding to Bergamo’s social and cultural sectors.

He has collaborated with research and training institutions in the field of the social economy. He teaches a course on ‘Social Economy and Subsidiarity’ at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome.

Member of the Impact Assessment Committee of the Fondazione Progetto Arca in Milan.
