A central theme for the future
School and the world of work are increasingly interconnected, and young people face challenges that require new skills as well as new guidance tools. This is precisely the focus of the meeting “Young People and the Challenge of Education”, scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 3:00 PM during the Rimini Meeting.
Those who cannot attend in person will still have the chance to follow the live streaming on the Meeting’s official website.
The key speakers
The discussion on how to bring school closer to young people and to the real world will involve voices from different backgrounds: institutions, education, and business.
Among the speakers: Giuseppe Valditara, Minister of Education and Merit, Luca Bergantini from SCM Group, school principal Paolo Maino, teacher Andrea Siciliano, and Guido Torrielli, President of Rete ITS Italia.
The debate will be moderated by Massimiliano Tonarini, President of CdO Opere Educative/FOE.
Topics at the heart of the debate
The meeting will address crucial issues for today’s and tomorrow’s school system:
- the “4+2” reform for the technological-professional track;
- the importance of personalized guidance pathways;
- the new National Guidelines for all school levels;
- the relaunch of ITS Academies, real bridges between training and employment;
- civic education as a tool to form responsible citizens.
How can we put the person at the center, recognize talents, and create real opportunities for young people?
