Basketball, inclusion, and team spirit: the new partnership between the Rimini Meeting and Dole Basket Rimini, presented today at the headquarters of the Meeting Foundation, places young people and sport at the center as an educational and relational opportunity.
During the 2025 edition of the Meeting (22–27 August), daily activities will be offered to girls and boys at the Enel Sport Village at Rimini Fiera: tournaments, clinics, and events to experience basketball up close and live it as a community experience.
The press conference was attended by Moreno Maresi, Deputy Vice President of Dole Basket Rimini, Max Intorcia, Head of the Youth Sector of Insegnare Basket Rimini, Emmanuele Forlani, Director of the Meeting Foundation, and Tommaso Sgubbi, Head of the Sport Sector of the Meeting.
Statements from Dole Basket Rimini and the Rimini Meeting
“For RBR, it is an extraordinary opportunity to take part in the 2025 Meeting,” said lawyer Maresi, “as it acknowledges the value of the sports and social project launched in 2018, which has involved and engaged many local basketball organizations, thus building a reality with ‘new bricks’. This partnership with the Meeting will allow RBR to organize a whole series of basketball-related events and initiatives within Rimini Fiera, promoting a sports culture. At the same time, it reflects a shared identity rooted in a communal approach. I therefore warmly thank Dr. Emmanuele Forlani and the entire Meeting family for this important moment we will experience together.”
Emmanuele Forlani concluded: “For 46 years, the Meeting has not only been held in Rimini—it is of Rimini. Since its first edition, the connection with the local area has been an integral part of the Meeting. Like RBR, the Meeting is marked by a strong sense of belonging to a community. And the strength of a community lies in its ability to welcome those who are not yet part of it. Today’s partnership is a small but important sign of building with new bricks, as the title of the 46th edition of the Meeting suggests.”
Also speaking for the Meeting was Tommaso Sgubbi, Head of the Sport Sector, who described the organization of the Enel Sport Village at the 2025 edition. Sgubbi emphasized that all proposed activities are completely free of charge, including access to the Fair and parking during the event. He highlighted the main partnerships, starting with the historic one with the Centro Sportivo Italiano, and reminded that all participants at the Enel Sport Village will be covered by insurance. He concluded by outlining the various activities and sports events planned.

Sport at the Heart of the Rimini Meeting / Dole Basket Rimini Partnership
The Enel Sport Village, organized in collaboration with CSI – Centro Sportivo Italiano, covers over 13,000 square meters in pavilions D5 and B5 of the Rimini Expo Centre, offering a wide range of sports activities: five-a-side football, volleyball, rapatennis, Greco-Roman wrestling, chess, board games, and much more.
Once again, the Meeting reaffirms the value of sport as a universal language capable of uniting generations, stories, and the shared desire for beauty and goodness.
