When does the welcoming of Meeting volunteers truly begin?
In the third stage of the Road to Meeting 2026, we discover that the organizational machine starts moving much earlier than one might imagine.
Barbara Aquilano, head of the Volunteers Department, has already been at work for months.
The entire organization is an intertwining of skills and generosity. It is a thread that remains taut throughout the year, a work that holds together thousands of people.

The greatest challenge for those coordinating volunteers is not only making everything run smoothly. It is creating the conditions for each person to experience the Meeting as something full, meaningful, and beautiful—so that every service, even the most hidden one, is felt as part of something greater.
Within all of this, an unexpected event can become an opportunity for growth, and a shared effort can turn into a bond.
And so, when the doors open and everything seems already ready, what appears natural is in fact the result of months of work shaped by care, method, and friendship.
