Triani Pierpaolo
Pierpaolo Triani is a full professor of General Pedagogy in the Faculty of Education at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. He is currently the coordinator of the Teacher Training Center at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart; coordinator of the single-cycle master’s degree program in Primary Education at the Piacenza campus of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart; director of the Center for Studies on Education for Legality at the Brescia campus; and director of the advanced training course “The Quality of Education in the Oratory.” He collaborates with various educational institutions on teacher training.
From 2006 to 2017, he served as editor-in-chief of *Scuola e Didattica* and is a member of the working group promoted by the Toniolo Institute, which periodically produces the *Youth Report* on the condition of young people in Italy. He is a member of the CEI Committee for Advanced Studies in Theology and Religious Sciences and served on the Presidium of the Synodal Journey of the Italian Church.
He is the author of several essays and books, including *Bernard Lonergan’s Contribution to a ‘Philosophy’ of Formation* (Milan, 1998), *In Search of the Method* (Milan, 2002), “Youth Distress, School, and Community” (2011), and “Educational Collaboration “(2017). He recently co-edited, with R. Finamore and P. Gherri, “On the Transcendental Method: B. Lonergan’s Contribution to Contemporary Challenges” (2023).
