Scarabottini Claudio

Claudio Scarabottini  is an Italian musician, composer, producer, and music director. He currently serves as director of the Civic School of Music “O. Cottini” in Campello sul Clitunno and is actively involved in numerous international collaborations across Europe, the United States, and Asia.
He has composed and directed music for several original theatrical productions, including Carapintada (in collaboration with the Argentinian Embassy in Italy) and Weather by Elizabeth Swados, presented in partnership with La MaMa ETC (New York), CultureHub, and the Seoul Institute of the Arts. These works combine live performance, multimedia elements, and original ensemble music.
His most recent work is the music opera The Rock, co-written with Jared McNeill and inspired by T.S. Eliot’s Choruses from The Rock.
Scarabottini has also worked as music director, arranger, and producer for a variety of international projects, including those with the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds, the Hybrid Orchestra of the Music Academy of Niš (Serbia), the Hervik Storband (Norway), the Internationale Chorakademie (Germany), Kingston University (UK), the University of Teramo and the Orchestra Benedetto Marcello.
His artistic work is defined by an interdisciplinary approach that brings together music education, composition, live performance, and intercultural collaboration—engaging both young performers and professional artists in the co-creation of meaningful, cross-border artistic experiences.
