Sacco Daniele

Daniele Sacco is Group Human Resources and Organization Director of the Mondadori Group.
Born in Milan in 1961, he holds a degree in Political Science from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and began his career at Hewlett-Packard. After an experience at Cedborsa, he returned to Hewlett-Packard as Human Resources Director for Italy.

In 1997 he joined Kraft Foods, where he led the HR function first in Italy and then at European level, with responsibility for organization, management development, planning, and staffing. In 2004 he moved to Ferrero as Director of Global Development & Organisation, later becoming VP HR Extra-European Business and subsequently VP HR Global Commercial, reporting directly to CEO Giovanni Ferrero.

From 2011 to 2016 he worked at Rio Tinto, initially as VP HR for the Diamonds and Minerals division and later as HR Chief Operating Officer. In 2017 he joined the Mondadori Group as Group HR and Organisation Director. Four years later, he took on leadership of the Human Resources, Organization and Legal Counsel division, contributing to the evolution of the organization and the enhancement of human capital within a leading European publishing group.

He is a Visiting Professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, where he teaches courses on organization and human capital management. He actively supports several charities, including Fondazione Banco Alimentare, of which he is a board member; AVSI, where he serves as Vice President; Piazza dei Mestieri; and Pro Terra Sancta, for which he coordinates the Work in Progress–Lebanon program in support of young entrepreneurs.
