Rusconi Marco Riccardo

Marco Riccardo Rusconi is Minister Plenipotentiary and, since December 2023, Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

A career diplomat since 1997, he has gained extensive experience in the fields of international cooperation, economic relations, European policies and the ecological transition. He has served at the Italian Embassies in Cairo and Madrid and has been Consul-General in Liège and Montreal, as well as Permanent Representative to the International Civil Aviation Organisation. He served as Diplomatic Adviser to the Ministers for the Environment and Ecological Transition.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he headed the department responsible for development cooperation policies in Africa. A graduate in Political Science from the University of Milan, he completed his training at the ISPI and the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
