Rosina Alessandro

Alessandro Rosina is Professor of Demography and Social Statistics at the Faculty of Economics of the Catholic University of Milan, where he heads the Department of Statistical Sciences and the Center for Applied Statistics in Business and Economics. He coordinates the survey of the G. Toniolo Institute “Report about Youth”. He is President of the association “Innovating for Embrace”. He has been a member of the Governing Council of the “Italian Society of Statistics” and has been the editor of the magazine “Population and History”. He is among the founders of the online magazine Neodemos.it and the editor of “la Repubblica”. He has been active in numerous national and international publications on youth issues and transition to adult life, family transformation, aging and the relationship between generations. Among his most recent books: “It’s Not a Country for Young People” (with E. Ambrosi, Marsilio, 2009); “Italy that does not grow. The alibi of a still country “(Laterza, 2013); “Neet. Young people who do not study and do not work “(Vita & Pensiero, 2015); ” Italy that does (not) grow. Building a better tomorrow with demography “(with S.Sorgi, Bocconi publisher, 2016).
